Domino

by Vikki Owens

o, what could i do,
but fall for you,
with white-dotted eyes,
and blackened lungs,
you kissed my heart goodbye,

what do we call this? you say: Love.

what could i say, redacted and unholy,
from this domino, inertia and opposite effect,
i said i would not topple and yet,

these are simple laws,
a body governed by physics,
a heart stolen from God,
and given, hot, for you to hold,
and stop the motion thats been started.

This seems to be a very distinct structure to this. I'm not sure if that's true, but I really like the way this reads aloud.
