In this homeostasis
careening towards poverty
I find the steady decline
awakening
in its disheartening.

The constant flowing
towards mental exodus
finds that black cloud
hovering over
even the most sun-filled days.

Indeed it is time
to reverse this downward
equanimity
though
should I start from the top
or the bottom?

Would it matter?
