#23 - east is for the young by Linda FullerI will always travel west
to where the sun beds down
and the clouds glow
with low frequencies
of red and orange
where sounds are muted
lights are haloed
and my heartbeat slows
Facing a young sun
its bright rays blind me
with mocking promise
of infinite pathways
time without limit
world without end
Far better the old sun
its diurnal journey done
sinking below sight
no promises, no lies
just that good night

Posted by V. Blake on 01/24/11 at 05:25 AM Gorgeous again, Linda. I'm sure you're hating the poem-a-day thing by this point, but I assure that I am enjoying it. :) |
