#14 - everything old is still old by Linda FullerWhen I dial 1-800-GOTCLICHÉS?
I get a busy signal. Seems that everyone’s
garage or den is piled high with these
ubiquitous white elephants.
Twenty minutes later, after hitting
redial till my finger tingles
I’m directed by voice activated system
to put my overused clichés at curbside
where the 1-800-GOTCLICHÉS? crew members
will remove them, take them to a dumpsite,
leaving me with rooms of deathless prose
and poetry in motion.
