j.a.c. v

by Aaron Blair

Today the sun was coming in
the blinds a certain way
setting fire to specks of dust
and sparking the quiet places in my soul
that have been so long silenced
by the weight of all things dark.
I find myself amazed at the way
light and warmth can travel so far
and still be up to the task
of bringing life to the stillness.
I breathe air. I live. It is enough.

I meant to say, this is one of my favorites. I love a scene, captured, and this has a sense of hope and life that I find comforting.
