#11 - Everything's going swimmingly

by Linda Fuller

I dip my toes into the seventh decade
and find it colder, not as well maintained
the filters clogged and slimy
my path choked with flotsam
I still keep my head above water
but it’s becoming more difficult
and as I swim forward
the drain sucks harder

I know what you mean lady. I will write my congressman and ask that they put euthanasia on the list of laws to make it legal in all states and to have the government offer free pills to everyone over 60. I think that is good age to consider what you can do with the rest of your life.
