I Am Not

by Joan Serratelli

I am not
the person
I used to be

Sometime,
along the way,
I grew up

I am no longer
afraid
to be me

Love me;
hate me;
I am
who
I am

A lonely person
growing older
trying to make
peace
admist turmoil

Fight a fair fight
don't break any rules
Live in the present

Not knowing
how it will end
Life is not fair
Never give in

In the end
we will be judged
by a Superior force

I am a product
of my actions
I will never give in

I am stronger
than
I look

Really enjoy your unspelling to give flow to the voice of I am NoooT

I like the sound,the flow, the positive forces of determination the words evoke. I like it.
