Bite that lip
young one
there's nothing good to come
of spouting what you think
unless you are in power
and they have to listen.

Bite that lip
oh so young
one
the people would rather
the arrows of lies
constantly thrusting at their world
than hearing the bullets of truth.

Bite that lip
young innocent one
so that what guilt you may incur
will never be proven to anyone
other than yourself
but that you will
redeem, one day
and hopefully right soon.

Bite that lip
young learning one
for now I am too advanced
in the degree of crap
to mute my words
with the muzzles of others;
I'd rather be hated for my true words
than loved for false accusations.

Bite that lip

beautiful
one
you have so much to live for
while dodging the fragile ones
and holding onto the stronger
that inevitably make you mighty;
those close few
will never make you
