godly grandeur

by Stuart Shilton

Another day another
Boulder standing between myself and sky
Certain in itself,
Decisive in the objective
Eternity of stone
Frighteningly old
Godly in its grandeur but
Hell its in my way
I cannot see the way the
Jagged edges look like mountain peaks
Krystaline points sharpened by years
Like the blades of grass
Millennia pass and still
No single man
Overpowers the
Proud stone
Rejected I sit sadly
Staring at the boulder
Tragikly I do not
Understand the boulders
Value is its
Way of
Xcaping my
zeal
