The sirens scream, the trucks race
The ground cries
“never again, never again
Not to touch the earth”

The ground cries fat red tears
Forever stained
Do not touch the red earth
Forever changed

Forever stained by a final solution
You lead mouthwash
Forever changed ,
the rocks that watched
You say goodbye

A cap of lead mouthwash
Never again to speak
To say goodbye,
and still I listen

for the blast
