Crashing by Joe CramerStrong waves crashed against the shore
bringing the tide in closer, once more.
Early evening calls at end of day
as beachcombers depart, on their way.
Now that the cold day has ended
the long shadows fall once more.
The tide washes away scrawled sand
into what will once again become ocean floor.
Stronger waves crash as they dance
upon dying sands, as if in a dream.
Nothing more is left ashore, left to chance
and all is not still, as it would seem. 11/29/1991 Author's Note: ... upon moving to Florida.....
