Sparkle

by Richard Vince

Let them know you, let them love you,
But please don’t give away too much.
Captivate them with your smile
And with your eyes, and
Let neither be faded.

The world is out there for you:
It is yours to be inspired by,
To be amazed by, and to explore.

Let the autumn awaken you
As it has me. Let this apparent
End of the cycle be the beginning
Of a new and wonderful phase
Of your life.

Let your dark eyes sparkle
With the bright lights of
Somewhere wonderful to discover.
Never let disappointment eclipse
The smiling moonlight.

This is a truly wonderful write Richard! Sometimes as we grow older we become jaded, believe we've seen and done it all and that the bad out weighs the good in life. But that isn't true. Fortunately for us seniors there is a new crop of humans rising, seeing the world in a perspective we've never had or that we've lost. Sometimes we need this reminder. Thanks!!

Beautiful, beautiful imagery. Something deeply personal to be found in every line.
