After The Storm

by Blue Medley

As I creep through the silent night

I hear the snores of slumbering guardians

Slowly I turn the handle opening the door

I pull it to

And the air of the aftermath of a storm fills my nose

I bask in the glow of a light post for a moment

Gathering my senses in this foreign environment

A feeling of peace fills the air

I move on to the next step of tranquility

I walk through the grass

Feeling the joy of the earth pressing against my soles

A gentle breeze brushes my skin

Sending a wave of pleasure through my body

A smile breaks through the composure I held

As I turn the handle to enter back in my home

I wish I could hold this moment for ever

Closing the door behind me

My smile fades

Hoping I am able to feel the sensation again.

A lot of really strong imagery. You keep bringing it all back to the same idea, but you always have something different to add about it. Very nice.
