We used to like each other
we used to respect each other
we used to laugh
and smile
and cuddle up like two guinea pigs

we used to.

Now we just get along
while it lasts.


When we smile it's because
we're supposed to

we're expected to


We call each other up and
say

"Hey,
wanna get together and faux-smile?
It would be incredible fun"


But even that

even that

takes a lot of
F fort

don't it?

I think tonite I'd rather have
one real hug
than
one real hundred dollar bill
