She is human.

by Ymelda Ramirez

I know what I want.
But, at times it seems hard to achieve.
Countless eyes have searched within her.
Alas, they find nothing.
Just another casual encounter.
It's a succubus leaving her soulless pleasure.
She screams in agony over the loss of the good,
that resided in her being.
Glorifying itself in her solitude,
she becomes it's slave.
Giving and giving until she is depleted.
She questions:
Why continue on this path?
Why prolong the inevitable demise of her soul?
There is no more good to defend her from the madness.
One day her facade will crumble.
It will see her for what she truly is.
Loving, kind, caring, scared...vulnerable.
She cries tears that are stained with the pain of others...never her own.

She is human.

I liked this one a lot. I love the line "It will see her for what she truly is. Loving, kind, caring, scared...vulnerable."
