The Idea of Falling in Love by Jeffrey ParrenI want to walk
hand in hand
on double yellow lines
in the middle
of a two way road
during rush hour
with you.
I want to catch eyes
completely mesmerized
falling through the air
with you
because we dared to be
together.
I want to kiss you
with eyes closed so tight
the only key to opening them
would be your voice
beckoning me to come back.
Are we safely dangerous
or
dangerously safe?
The answer escapes me
or I'm too afraid to find it
in turn making it cease
like questioning happiness -
only the foolish dare to be.
It's risky business
this love thing
especially
when you're alone.
I start to create worlds
that exist only in my heart
and in falling in love
with the idea of falling in love
I forget what it is
to be
in love
with anyone. 11/16/2010 Posted on 11/16/2010 Copyright © 2024 Jeffrey Parren

Posted by George Hoerner on 11/16/10 at 05:23 PM I like this Jeffrey! The eyes play a great part in it. I was told once that the American Indians kissed by touching the loved one's eyes. They were so aware of their eyes as being the most important part of human life that to allow someone to touch your eyes was to have complete trust in them. |
