sometimes, i think all animals know exactly what's going on...especially when faced with a knife.

Oh my, my fish are dead before I clean them. A good ole thump on the head before he suffocates is what I do. Yes, I know, I have no remorse but I do like your poem.

I bet if they had eyelids they'd shut them tightly... as if they were a wee child watching a horror movie their parents warned them about.
