STOP THAT TRUCK

by Maude Curtis

STOP THAT TRUCK
GET THAT GUYS LICENSE!!
He just ran over my body.
Around here he's considered a nonsense.

I was merely sitting in my hospital bed
when along came a couple of nurses,
They said, "we're here to up your dosage tonight.
and keep going until we hear loud curses."

The hot flashes and flushing aren't bad.
My feet haven't been warm in years.
and the loss of appetite I can take,
to lose weight won't bring me to tears.

One step forward and two steps back
is not the direction I want to go,
but to get this med regulated,
the Doc says we have to go slow.

So I'll do what they say, quit complaining.
for my other options aren't that great
If I want to make Freddie happy.
to the old age of 108.

Author's Note: Thanks to all my Pathetic friends for the prayers good wishes. The docs say I'm doing amazingly well and I'm looking forward to going home this weekend.
