A moment of great importance; a summer to walk away from by Timothy WilsonAccording to the timepiece on the wall
Tick-tok tic-tok
I am crazier than sin
Tick
I am falling through my own excuses
Tock
My excuses paper thin cutting naked wind
A jolt!
Tick tock tick tock
Faster persisting
Some of the smoke I blew earlier
It had made so much sense
Then it faded threw your face paper thin, paper thin
Tick tock and I can feel my heart beating now
Tick tock
I remember everything we had done that summer
Intoxicating, vandalizing, waste
And above all selfishness
Time is ticking closer here to meet you once more
But I can’t I don’t think I can do it
Tick tock
Is that your car pulling around the corner?
I have to leave

Posted by Scott Utley on 01/26/11 at 05:09 PM I really like this - you seem to move in themes - a bundle of this wonder or that cunnundrum, sorted out in your mind and work over a space of time, this work is powerful for it's use of startling imagery and a feeling like explsions, but controlled - I want to use the word stuccadoed but don't know how to spell it - "Intoxicating, vandalizing, waste
And above all selfishness
Time is ticking closer here to meet you once more
But I can’t I don’t think I can do it
Tick tock
Is that your car pulling around the corner?
I have to leave"
Searing imagery .... beautiful use of vandalizing ...
