Unrealized by Racquel Cervantes
Like a festering fungus
against spoiled roots the
child weans itself from
the cracks of its own skin.
Turning and twisting into
new growth unrealized,
inseparable from the
cries of morning.

Posted by Gabriel Ricard on 10/20/10 at 07:41 PM Seems to be working so far. Not bad at all. |
Posted by V. Blake on 10/21/10 at 03:53 AM I'd have to call it a success as well. Gotta love a poem that can blow you away in ten lines or fewer. |
