Never Never Land

by Tota Longmire

Once upon a time
In Never, Better to
Forget it, Land
There was a prince who
Smoked a pipe and
Needed a heart to
Call home. So he
Found a fair maiden
And convince her to
Display him her own.
It was bruised, broken,
Permanently cracked,
And large import parts
Just weren’t there.
So he had her put it away
And still to this day
I haven’t seen that
Prince anymore.

Broken hearts are best mended before put "on display" again. Of course, real love looks over the past in others and becomes part of the "mending". I think you really speak of what real love is all about. And the necessity of moving on in spite of broken relationship(s).
