Clinging to an echo of
Something that rightfully expired
In your childhood
(You don't even remember it properly)

Get a grip on yourself
I really don't want to watch
It is like you are sucking on
The fluid that surrounds
Corpses of bad memories
Dead rat water
From a blackened teat

Author's Note: Not the first sinister poem in the second person I have written and surely not the last. This piece reminds of Radiohead lyrics.

Some people just represent that kind of garishly pitiful regression, backwater and backhanded, they grasp with a sieve-like personality, nothing retained but the futility of trying, the only kind of consistency they practice...
