walk back through by Carissa DeweyToday I sit inside
watch the weather outside,
it has turned.
Yesterday’s salient sun
yesterday’s emotions.
It’s raining and
you aren’t here.
I am outside this window-
the rain, it’s pulse
and it covers me
as I walk back
through.
I am gone. 10/05/2010 Posted on 10/05/2010 Copyright © 2024 Carissa Dewey

Posted by V. Blake on 10/10/10 at 07:06 AM I have read this several times, and I keep trying to come up with a good comment for you. I keep failing. I am sorry. I do really like the poem, and being drunk, figured I would just tell you that. |
