walk back through

by Carissa Dewey

Today I sit inside
watch the weather outside,
it has turned.
Yesterday’s salient sun
yesterday’s emotions.

It’s raining and
you aren’t here.

I am outside this window-
the rain, it’s pulse
and it covers me

as I walk back
through.

I am gone.

Simple but very, very engaging. Really good stuff.

I have read this several times, and I keep trying to come up with a good comment for you. I keep failing. I am sorry. I do really like the poem, and being drunk, figured I would just tell you that.
