Bridges

by Marjorie Anne Reagan

Seeing you on the top of two bridges
recently
almost smack dab in the middle

exhilarated and frustrated
all at once

wanting to slam on the brakes and reach for you
run to you

bringing me to tears almost
wondering what it means

not believing in coincidence

wonting for your brand of kindness and care
kind of licking my wounds right now

our wounds

how do we meet
how do we talk

when is that bridge ever going to
happen

burning for you once again

feeling love will always be the bridge
between our hearts

seeing you stick your head out this morning
was the biggest joy

even if we were just passing on another damned bridge
when does the part where we talk embrace happen

dear Lord when...........
not meaning to seem ungrateful

just burning a lot of rubber...........
and time
how much of that do we have
my levy has long broken and flooded
impatience....
i still brake for you......

Author's Note: I thank God for the outline of you and your waves now if i could just hear your voice and see your soul warming smile

How much love do we hold in our memories? It seems so close and yet so far. Nice write lady.
