how to invent You

by Charlie Morgan

organisms evolving;
doors opening. vision.

first the eyes of one I
sees the other I's eyes;

a Charlie Brown scuffle ensues.
over the word You, a serf in England;
but by tearing away from the melee
allows each i's eyes to see eye's i s;

one i says my eyes see your I's eyes;
but you're a you. only I am I.

i nods. i nods back.

you got that? i said.
