Redundancy

by Jeffrey Parren

Redundancy in the repetition
redundancy is repetition
we humans
have allowed ourselves
to endure
as the ho hum
of a potential existence
is freely conceded
to the daily acts
of living
instead of truly doing so.

The weekends for some
or the late night bar runs
for others
continue the cycle
and mimic
what would seem to be a life.

Work. Work. Work. Work. Work.

Play. Play.

Repeat.

Redundancy in this repetition
is slowly masking
what true life is about
so much so
that I have lost sight, too.

...rinse, and repeat the repetition; a cute-bordering on smart- write, jeff. what is life about?

Life is what we make of it. Some look to yesterday or tomorrow, few look at today. Good write. The problem is seeing what is directly in front of us in all its manifestations.

Well said. Excellent commentary, terrific form.
