The Fragrance

by Keith D Allison

That sweet taunting fragrance
grasping for breath
warmth of being
underlying this address

The line of the morning
the mind beginning to flutter
the soul trembles
the shadows of death

Crisp the morning air
awake the sanity to the butterfly
as heart's emotions
grieve

The journey
Will it give
Life
or will it end

the life of a kiss

Does it
Begin

Poet
can you bring life
to the dead man's soul

Is love
but a breath
when eternity calls

...keith, another heavy one that teeters on the bridge of the life/death chasm...seen when it's too late to share, you do a imaginative of what a good guess would look like, i think that way. gestalt is one thing and yet each little stanza is a tome, tied-up neatly w/that last one. creatiive.
