To Let You Go

this, I became afraid, was not to be,
I smile, though my shy smile is but a grimace
that has so very little to with relief.
Knowing that some time ago
I could not seem to let you go. 12/02/2010 Author's Note: ... you even stole the bulbs out of the lamp....
