see you soon

by Robbi Skaera

i'm caught in the eye of the perfect storm,
so comfortable and warm,
the broken toys i've called mine.

god is powerless, and this he knows,
they've put me in my favourite clothes,
they're coming to sew up my eyes.

i'm closing the awful door to the red room,
and i'm zooming in on the moon,
i'm digging my own catacombs,
and i hope i'll see you soon.

i'll wait, there's no other way to pass my time
their words deconstruct my life,
who would have thought there'd be jobs in hell?

i can hear you tell me what i want to hear,
but your words are slurred and unclear,
who could have known there'd be drugs in hell?

i'm closing the awful door to the red room,
and i'm zooming in on the moon,
i'm digging my own catacombs,
and i hope i'll see you soon.

Author's Note: song i'm working on. so far it uses weird chords, an augmented Am6 to a high Em7. chorus is Bm7 C Am6aug Em7. should be okay, i'm planning lots of violin guitar parts, and multi-tracked vocals and stuff. it's a slow one though. marked explicit 'just in case'. there are references to religion and death, so someone could take offense.

It's got a hell of a lot of potential going for it so far. I'm especially digging that last bit.

I haven't gone through your library in such a long time -- I know, I've been kind of an unactive member. Your work has truly matured so much during the elapsed time. There's an indie movie called Wristcutters: A Love Story, have you seen it? This poem reminded me very much of it, you may like it. I love it. Anyway, this is great. I love the fact that you're planning on putting violin guitar parts in this song as well, awesome. :]
