daddy's gone by Charlie Morganwe move blithely in different rooms;
31 years separate our realities.
noises marks our awarenesses;
a loving grunt, 'mornin', a taxi
of another baby day being born.
a Herculean effort to smile grips me;
just a while later, takes a child of four;
my heart sails like a kite in tow;
smooth, cool winds lift. a heavy heart
will be lightened, softened. sighing,
i greet the Sun. 09/09/2010 Posted on 09/09/2010 Copyright © 2026 Charlie Morgan
