Idle Mind by Jeffrey Parrenan idle mind
finds the simplicity
of its weaknesses
and the might
of its strengths
but the idle mind
at its weakest
finds all its own faults
and becomes lost
in the thoughts
of betterment
and grandeur
unattained.
the idle mind
at its strongest
finds things
to better itself
while not wasting
the free time it has
because greatness
takes time and persistence.
at this moment
I am weak
with my lackluster performance
dwindled to
missed opportunities
and an unshakable sorrow. 08/24/2010 Posted on 08/24/2010 Copyright © 2024 Jeffrey Parren
