do we ever see?

by Charlie Morgan

miles of speed-bumps make my crate a jalopy;
as hinges're loosened, nuts become nuttier.

bolts stay in their bin, awaiting use.

i wave to the crowd as they bend-over
to pull-up their pants from the roadside.

hipsters all cry-out: you worry too much!

soon they'll see my worries as the men
with shovels are not capturing the mess,

instead they wrestle to get in front
of the elephants.
