Wiser Thoughts by John SmithIf you don't know what you don't know
Then how do you find out?
You can ponder and you can dwell on things
But that can drive your mind to shout.
You can insert false assumptions.
You can twist contorted tales.
You can think or dream all sorts of ways
To maximize your wails.
If driving sane inside
Is what you seek to do,
Then trust me you will lose a war
You do not want to lose.
So clip your wild light fandango.
Turn your mind to wiser things.
Think on the fate's more lively songs.
And listen to them sing.
I've sunk my mind in darkened thoughts
I've trudge through dreary days.
Stay on the higher ground my friend.
Make sure light comes and stays.
Then what you don't will soon know you.
And what you do will grow.
The light of life's uncertainty
Will soon beg you to go. 08/15/2010 Posted on 08/16/2010 Copyright © 2024 John Smith
