Our bodies get bigger but our hearts get torn up. by Aaron BlairYou won't dream of me
and I know it.
But you live inside my head,
projecting your image
on the insides of my eyelids.
You're always starring in a script
written by a heart foolish enough
to be filled up with nothing
and to listen intently
when you tell it not to cry. 08/15/2010 Author's Note: He said he was going to sleep and then he texted lyrics from "Wake Up" by the Arcade Fire. I borrowed them. "Something filled up my heart with nothing. Someone told me not to cry."

Posted by Jared Fladeland on 08/16/10 at 03:09 AM the song/lyrics (one of my favorites) taps into such a wonderful space of emotion. a type of emotion that can't be named (something a mix of nostalgic, guilt, grief, but also the warm fuzziness of something far before). So writing from it is a very wonderful and complex feeling full of so much. thank you |
