redefine: crazy

by Aaron Michael

how do i know that
the insanity labels
are tagged, no branded
on the right people
when they'll let a man
like me own guns.

i justify my views with
talk of justice
of protection
of peace through passiveness,
*unless further provoked.*

but with 7 billion ideas of all
my concepts,
and no absolute truth found
in the absence of a God
i can only hide my light within four walls and

let it be taken for reasons of national insanity.

my rights end where yours begin
but your rights end where mine begin
but your rights are well within my rights
and my right to shoot you supercedes your
right to want to live.

roses grow where blood is spilled..
a beautiful child can come from a rape.
i may have sacrificed much, but much more was gained by

someone i will never meet.
that may not have needed it at all.

solace is for the insane
so they don't get angry when
the feel the fingernails in their shoulders
and the breath of a powerful man
saying that it will all be okay.

If it's any consolation, I think everybody's crazy. They just all show it in a different way. Just putting this out there, the thought of being in a mental institution is somewhat comforting, is it not? Being free...able to act like a complete lunatic if for nothing but only your own entertainment? Padded walls and all. Shmaha. I dunno. I really enjoyed this, makes you think and smirk at the same time. Lines 18-22...I peed a little :P

I don't know what "sane" really is or even if it truly exists...I do know I like this piece alot...it fuses so nicely with my brainwaves....and I do believe in God,even when he is in absensce...all crazy

Aaron, if there is any solace ~ it is in the return soft smile of those who understand what you have given and continue to give. (And I know you grok this.)

Insanity resides in the notion that The Law of Nature and Natural Law can some how find common ground despite/in spite of uncommon denominators, we are all potentially predators, possibly prey, the only difference being a matter of personal predilection combined with emergency preparedness and a good sense of direction...crazy is always relative, and relatively speaking, we're all just a little bit mad...
