Do you regret the
youth that has gone by?
Did I take all the
moments and made
you think of the world?

Have I ever made you
feel that it was
ever so simple
with broken words?

I ponder these thoughts
as you sit amongst
the stars with your
crooked smile.

How the night seem
so little with all
the hopes we had.
The fiction and
the non-fiction.

You made me happy
with sunlight and
broken tears.

I can only think
that I have brought
nothing but despair
with my thoughts.

Yet you say kind
words only to be broken
with the coming day,
and I walk away
like the fool.
