Flowers, the summer sun fades by Keith D AllisonThe aluminum horse wait to taste the mountain trail
To feel the breeze of the afternoon.
the mind
drifts on the Internet currents hoping for a moment of muse
Are the days of wonder,
of butterflies,
the awkward moments
from the cocoon,
ALL past
is there no song to sing,
silence,
a moment to share.
An e-mail
no whit
no charm
just a quiet breeze,
hi,
how are you, and I'll be gone
a wind
a lonely wind
am I

Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 08/07/10 at 10:09 PM "...a wind/a lonely wind/am I..." What a way to wrap this poem up...the brevity lends a perfect solitary voice to the lonesome wind...beautiful. Delighted. Thanks. |
