when fate defies me,
and I can not walk
away from the
evening star.

When you tell me
that I am the one
you loved the most.

I am the darkest
part of you,
and you are the
part of me that
brings me light.

Yet we are always
alone in our embrace.
I am misery that brings
you hope in it all.

Only to find that
I am confused
with your love.
And lost in your
inspiration.

We are doomed,
and yet we
hold each other
like the end will never
come.
