All you ladies have had this happen to you.
You stumble to the bathroom half asleep,
to find your hubby has left the toliet seat up
and you're sitting in cold water hip deep.

I utter a protest at the top of my lungs
and he calls meekly, "Honey, what's wrong?"
I explain in words that could make a sailor blush
and be heard from here to Hong Kong.

Gathering my dignity I hop in a hot shower
only to have the water go cold.
My husband was trying to make up for his blunder,
by making the coffee without being told.

My renewed burst of violent profanity,
brought him running with pleas of mercy.
Silently vowing my revenge on him,
I smiled sweetly and said, "It's OK, Honey."

Retreating from the bathroom with a big sigh
wondering what he could be in for.
He'll never expect my revenge when it comes
for it's something I must prepare for.

He'll look over his shoulder, around every corner
and expect the worst at any time.
But I'll be my sweet tempered self
and in time, revenge will be mine.
