Brown Eyes And We walk by Christopher ShinHer story dances
with fluttering
thoughts.
I remember when
I felt the darkest
moment in my life,
yet she tells it
with guarded hope.
I wish I could hold
her in the darkest
memories.
But my guilt and
sadness similar to
hers only dangles
in the air.
She tells me
that she holds
her misery and failures
like a badge.
And the corners of
thought remind me
of how a girl made
me feel tragedy.
I want to hold her,
but only to find
that I am in
my own fictional world.
She has the eyes
searching and I have
the dark eyes that
hold nothing.
We are doomed
to walk away. 07/20/2010 Posted on 07/20/2010 Copyright © 2024 Christopher Shin
