Emily moves away from me
here, at home,
and in a far distant land.
I do wish I did understand
what has happened
but I can't fathom
it. I have no idea,
any notion
but we are separated
by a vast ocean
of place, of time
allegorically
as well as
metaphorically
as this moment
in time
seems to escape me.
This is how it will be...
