June 25 - This is not a poem.

by Jason Wardell

There's no plot to a poem,
it stumbles without rails;
if it conveys one thing at all,
one cannot claim it fails.

There's no point to a poet,
the walking, writing dead
who has no goal in life
but to read and to be read.

But I am just a poet,
and this is just a poem,
not mindful meditation,
nor homeless finding home.

This is just a waystation to wherever you find to call home, this is your kind of travelogue through the uncharted territories you find yourself traversing...this is anguish and commonsense all in one fell swoop...this is wonderful, even if it isn't..a poem.

I'd like to believe we carry our home with us at all times and sometimes we want to find a house to put it it for a while at least. Nice write.
