Was waiting
for the 12:30am bus
on my usual seat
at Port Authority.

Waiting on line
is just not in my genes
and as I watched
this occurrence
I was happy to not be.

This line was about 20 long
and #12 was anxious
as the bus pulled up.
People started to board slowly
as a Rico Suave type
strolled up on his phone
wearing a tan suit
so nice it annoyed me.

He subtly eased his way
into the 10 spot
making #12 a #13
sparking a silent fury
that only was shown
as she gave the
“I hope you die
you you you
cutter!” look at Rico.

Unlucky #13 I thought
as I sauntered
to the back of the line.
