autopsy

by Charlie Morgan

there is evil in the world
that even an autospy stands
in awe of it's anonymity.

it's inability to root-out
its cause. we see results.

but a woman and man, become
one; immediately become not
who they were, never to be
the same again; they share.

a doorstep to heaven needs
pavers, those that carry
and tote the rough, erose
steps; to become a glide.

always of and for the other;
a judgement by one for two.
catching the frayed, weak hem.
that answers so much for me.

now, i stammer in my visions
of what was, and the whys;
laugh, grumble all the way;
a trailer of hope gets heavy.

but i know that you and i bring
the tomorrow that awaits us all.
some call it Karma; some, lucky;
some take another sip of weakness.

my knowledge of seventh grade math
helps-me-out to perceive a good deal.
should i ask for anything more?

Good write Charlie. I see good in the world and I see bad in the world. All my math and all the science I've ever studied have told me little about either. The universe seems to be silent and seems to leave man to play this game of good and evil.

we always ask more, otherwise what is a heaven for. i love the message of oneness, two become one, the awareness of what was can never be again - instead there is something totally new (new wine needs new wineskins). I absolutely love the line "but i know that you and i bring the tomorrow that awaits us all." Pregnant, full of potential - it says so much. Yes, and stammer of visions of what once was. Damn this thing is good!! Vonnegut meets Sagan and I'm not sure where to take that pairing - yet I know you won't mind the company.

Brilliant as always. In this world; there is good and bad. In a perfect world; good would win. This world is far from perfect and sometimes; BAD prevails.
