Fair Lucy St. Anne by JJ JohnsonOh Lucy fair Lucy
You tempt me, you tease me
Temporarily please me
Then make me forget how to smile
Together I share your solitary gaze
Luring me with an allure that stings
What else can I do as you coax me to care?
When you said that you loved me last night
For you I've fallen like you long before
The flames of desire revealed the darkness in you
Now your grip won't let me escape through the door
From the Hell you're putting me through
Oh Lucy for God's sake
Don't break my heart, don't push us apart
Though I wished for a soulmate
My apple fell far from the cart
The sun rise disturbed this morning’s walk
Holding your hand I wandered alone
Awaiting the cold that burned my will
Your fire was not of the sky
And Lucy, fair Lucy
Enticed me this morning to rise
Once more to taunt, once more you smiled
I freely resolve to comply
