the world is a tornado.
trillion of moving particles
which sometimes dance
but mostly collide
irreparably - irreversibly -
en route to the freedom
of a windless wonderland.
in the midst of dust and doom
the slivered silver linings
add a lethal beauty
to the chaotic harmony
of blood and love and bodies
in seemingly random, yet
oddly purposeful
perpetual motion.
we are the unnatural riding the natural
back to the natural
with the dream of seeing as much of
the mad, gorgeous maelstrom
as our little hearts can handle before
exiting the twister forever.
