Decisions

by Chloe Sanders

This is a lot for recently 18
The family fights
The most anger ever felt in my life
My breathing is affected
Running away
So angry, I wont allow myself to stay
I have to get out
Father is dying, decisions to make,
no room to pout
Four hours of sleep
Im a trooper
They say Im super
Up and at 'em again
They had you stabilized
I figured I was safe, surprise!
They call me back in
Your not gonna make it again
Im there by your side
they need me to make a decision
On how your gonna die
Im your daughter
This is unfair
But thats life
I choose the best possible way
Even the nurses say
But I could tell you were already gone
So I watch as your body dies
And hardly let myself cry
But atleast I got my dads last kiss
Even though your death leaves my hand in a fist.
