LA Folk by Jeffrey ParrenI waited on a table
a few weeks ago
that were so LA
I could barely
stand hearing them.
No, not Louisiana.
If there is anything
I have learned
about people from there
is that they have
a certain
spiciness.
These Los Angeles folk
were so pretentious
I was not sure
they even
believed themselves.
“I'm done with this
take it away.”
“Let's talk about
me some more,”
and they really
meant it.
Jesus,
at least people in NYC
shadow their need
for flattery
a little better,
but not much. 06/08/2010 Posted on 06/08/2010 Copyright © 2025 Jeffrey Parren
