too far away.

Colorado is enchanting
and I know why you're there
and I wish my life was simpler
so I could visit more.

The fish are still here
so next time you visit
I know you will be out
to try and catch
the elusive big one
like me trying to write
the greatest thing
to see paper.

So you can count on me
to be there with you
maybe to hoist another
62 pound
dinosaur from the water.

To philosophize
over some cold beer
hooking clams
to hook bigger fish.

To breathe the night air
on that bridge
off nowhere.
