I remember a time
when I believed
everything I was told
until the first time
I was lied to.

I remember a time
when I believed
everything I said
was going to be the truth
until the first time I lied.

I remember a time
when I believed
a lot of things
were as such
until they weren't.

I want to remember a time
when I was confident
and sure of myself
when I could beat the world
any given day
but I cannot.
